Taking great reference photos
Daylight near a window beats overhead bulbs. Avoid strong shadows across the face.
Looking right at the camera, hair as usual, no sunglasses or heavy filters.
Standing, whole outfit visible — it helps us get proportions and posture right.
Glasses, a favorite jacket, a jersey, a pet’s collar — photograph anything you want on the figure.
Natural colors help us match skin, hair, and outfit shades accurately.
Requesting preview changes
Be specific: “make the smile bigger”, “the jacket should be a darker green”.
One change per line keeps things clear.
Reference a photo if it helps: “like in the birthday photo”.
There is no limit — request as many rounds of tweaks as you like before approving. Nothing prints until you say so.
Payment, printing & shipping
You only pay after you approve your preview — approval itself never charges you.
After approval we send payment details to your email. Production starts once payment is confirmed.
Every figure is printed, hand-finished, quality-checked, and packed with care.
Shipping is tracked. Typical time from approval to doorstep: 2–3 weeks.
Cancelling a request
Before approval and payment: cancel any time, right from the request page. Your photos are removed with it.
After payment or once production starts: contact support at hello@boxybuddy.com and we will do our best.

The photos you share are used for one thing: preparing your custom figure. They are visible to you and to the small BoxyBuddy team working on your order — never sold, never used for marketing without asking you first.
Your requests
You can view your own requests, photos, previews, and order updates anytime from your account.
Deleting a request
Before payment and production, you can cancel and delete a request yourself — photos included. After production starts, contact support and we will help.
Approval and payment
Approving a preview never charges you automatically. Payment is always a separate, explicit step with its own confirmation.
